"So catch the moments as they fly
and treat them as ye aught man,
believe me happiness is shy
and comes not aye when sought man" (Robert Burns)
We caught the moments -lovely stay.

Thank you for the most amazing stay. Fantastic hosts in a fantastic backdrop. The memories of our time with you are holding fast. Spreading the word of your Shenval B&B.
Katie & Andrew Medcalf, Leeds

Coming back to Shenval this year was more like coming back to friends than to just another accommodation. Thanks for all the help, the nice chats and especially for the many recommendations about what to do and see in the surrounding area.
Christian Ganz, Germany, June 2011

A peaceful night, dreaming of Bronze Age neighbours and a lovely breakfast. Cinnamon toast was "formidable"! "Merci"!
Fiona and David, Scotland, September 2010

This has been a great, great stay and our best joint holiday so far! We are just sad that this B&B isn't part of our family so that we could come here every second weekend. Thank you for helping me to remember that there is more to life than Hackney and wordprocessing! Thank you for your knowledge and erudition, for the food, and the maps, and the lifts! We 'd have been walking in circles without you.
Benjamin and Esmeralda, London, April 2011

Thank you for the stay last week. Absolutely perfect time! We decided that your B&B should be called B,B&B (Bed, Breakfast & Bonuses). Home baked bread, home made jam, faces on the breakfast plates.... - impressive. But the most important was the sincere interaction. Thank you for the warm welcome. Nobody founds time or willingness to escort their guests in a doorway like you did (like relatives). Small but pleasant and important things what makes you feel like coming back with the first possibility.
Gintare & Jonas Kunickas, Lithuania

The most enjoyable B&B in Scotland and one we hope to return to. Many thanks.
John & Jenny Clark, Hong Kong

We have been here for 6 days and each one of them was wonderful! Thank you for your great hospitality! The food is lovely. Bless you.
Mariella & Mark Munden, Bulgaria/Doncaster

My husband Terry saved the best for last on this trip. Shenval is a deeply healing center of beauty, serenity, warmth and kindness. Thank you Christiane and Pierre. See you next May.

A VERY nice stay! Lovely to meet you two great people! It has been the best place we've stayed, most beautiful, best food and friendliest, thank you!
Vitus Fisher and Mette Kromann, Denmark, July 2010

Comfortable and at home: that’s how we felt. Your little love nest is so pretty and cosy. I would so much love to come and see you again and climb that snow-clad summit… What a marvellous country you live in!!! The beauty of the scenery, the peace, the fragrances, the local folk’s kindness, the landscape but, above all, the French couple who welcomed us so warmly in their own home. What a joy, what a laugh, and all the smiles and the delicious herbal teas… I have now become an evening herbal tea addict! We have enjoyed 16 marvellous days with you. Your genuine hospitality made us feel at home. I’d better stop here: looks like I’m about to write a love story…
Michel Langevin and Sylvie Gagnon, Saint Télésphore, Québec

... Your succulent haggis and potato scones will always stay in our minds ... Thanks again for your very pleasant welcome and cheerful hospitality.
Isabelle Ronneau, Belgium

Admirable – must be said – your hospitality. Pierre drove me to restaurant and afterwards back with a detour to show the mountains with fresh snow … And your invitation for tea in the evening! I had been so tired by walking a too long distance that day…

We miss you and your meal and the Caledonian Pine Forest… It was great experience to visit Scotland and to stay with you.  We definitely want to visit again. We succeeded to make the “Shenval scones” and we sometimes eat them while we look at the picture of Scotland. We miss you and the Pine forest.
Yumi, Manabu, Hana and Mana Ikeda, Japan

Our evening with you was marvellous and captivating. Thank you for sharing this with us. Your advice was very useful and helped us discover magnificent nooks and crannies.
